About Guru Nanak Sikh Sangat Centre
Guru Nanak Sikh Sangat Centre is a gurdwara in Brampton serving one of the largest Sikh communities in Canada. Daily prayers begin with Nitnem at 4:30 AM and close with Rehras Sahib in the evening, and langar — a free community meal open to absolutely everyone regardless of faith or background — is served twice daily, every day of the year. The centre also runs weekend Punjabi language and Gurmat Sangeet classes, a kabaddi and gatka youth program, and a seniors’ day program with transportation.

01Can anyone eat langar?
Yes. Langar is free and open to every visitor without exception — no faith requirement, no registration, no donation expected. It is served at noon and again at 6:30 PM, every single day.
02What should I wear or do as a first-time visitor?
Please cover your head with a scarf or the bandanas we provide at the entrance, remove your shoes at the racks, and wash your hands. Modest clothing is appreciated; there is no other requirement.
03Do you offer Punjabi classes for children?
Weekend classes run Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 1 PM for ages five and up, covering Gurmukhi reading and writing, Gurmat Sangeet, and tabla. Registration is free; instruments are provided.
