About Riverbend Public Library Branch
Riverbend Public Library Branch is a full-service neighbourhood branch with 68,000 items on the shelves, twelve public computers, six bookable study rooms, and a makerspace with 3D printers, a laser cutter, sewing machines, and audio recording equipment. Frequently Asked Questions
01How do I get a library card?
Bring photo identification with your current address to the service desk and we will issue a card immediately, free of charge. Children under thirteen need a parent or guardian to sign.
02Is the makerspace free to use?
Access and training are free with a library card. You pay only for materials — filament by the gram, laser-cut stock by the sheet — and you must complete a short safety orientation first.
03Can I get help with immigration or government forms?
A settlement worker is on site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 AM to 4 PM to help with applications, translations, and referrals. No appointment is needed, but arriving early is wise.
