About Lakeshore Arts & Heritage Museum
Lakeshore Arts & Heritage Museum occupies a restored 1892 grist mill on the Oakville waterfront. Our permanent collection traces the region’s Indigenous history, shipbuilding era, and twentieth-century immigration through more than 9,000 catalogued objects, while three rotating galleries show contemporary work by artists from across the GTA. The museum includes a working print studio, an archive open to researchers by appointment, a café overlooking the creek, and a shop carrying work by local makers. Admission is free on the first Sunday of every month.

01How much is admission?
Adults are $14, seniors and students $10, children under twelve free. Admission is free for everyone on the first Sunday of each month, and always free for Indigenous visitors.
02Can I access the archive for research?
The archive is open to researchers Tuesday through Thursday by appointment. Email us with your topic at least a week ahead so our archivist can pull relevant material before you arrive.
03Do you host school groups?
We run curriculum-linked programs for grades one through twelve, with two-hour guided visits including a hands-on activity in the print studio. Book at least a month in advance for spring dates.
