About Silk Route Grocery Market

Silk Route Grocery Market is a 14,000 square foot international grocery in Scarborough carrying South Asian, Middle Eastern, East African, and Caribbean staples under one roof. Our in-house halal butcher counter cuts to order, the produce section is restocked twice daily from the Ontario Food Terminal, and our open spice bar lets you buy whole or ground spices by weight rather than in sealed packets. We also run a small hot table at lunch with samosas, kebab rolls, and daily curries.

Yes, the entire butcher counter is halal certified and completely separate from any non-halal handling. Certificates are displayed above the counter and renewed annually.

We deliver across Scarborough and North York for a flat eight dollar fee, free on orders over eighty dollars. Order by phone or WhatsApp before 2 PM for same-day delivery.

03Can I buy spices in small quantities?

Our spice bar sells by weight starting at fifty grams, and we grind whole spices to order at the counter at no extra charge.
